Who is this Class for?

Our group fitness classes are designed specifically for teenagers and young adults ages 12-19 in the Gilbert/Mesa/Phoenix area who are interested in weightlifting, MMA fighting techniques, and improving their overall fitness and athletic performance.

Our classes are open to boys and girls of all fitness levels and abilities. Whether you are a beginner or have been working out for years, we welcome you to join our community and unleash your inner superhero.

Taught by Certified Personal Trainer Jonathon Singleton

Our classes are taught by Jonathon Singleton, Owner and Head Coach at Forged by Maahes. Jon is a certified personal trainer with over 20 years of experience working with children and teens in the fitness industry. Jon is passionate about helping his students become the best version of themselves, both physically and mentally.

As a father of 4 who has been training his own sons for more than a decade—and a former Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps who has trained hundreds of young Marines preparing for combat—he knows exactly what it takes to help young men and women learn how to set and smash their goals.

What to Expect at Your First Class

Are you nervous about attending your first class? Don't worry, we've got you covered. Here's what you can expect:

A WARM WELCOME

When you arrive at our gym, you will be warmly greeted by Jon and the other members of the class. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

DYNAMIC WARM-UPS

Before we start lifting weights or learning MMA fighting techniques, we will begin with dynamic warm-ups. These exercises are designed to get your heart rate up and your muscles warmed up, helping to prevent injury and prepare you for the workout ahead.

A FUN & ENGAGING WORKOUT

Our classes are designed to be both fun and challenging. You will work up a sweat and leave feeling energized and accomplished.

LEARN PROPER FORM

During the class, Jon will teach you proper form and technique for weightlifting and MMA fighting techniques. He will provide personalized attention and feedback to ensure that you are performing each exercise correctly and safely.

Pricing and Payment

At Forged By Maahes, we offer competitive pricing options to make our group fitness classes accessible to everyone. Here's what you need to know:

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP

Our monthly membership option is $200/month. This includes access to two classes per week, personalized attention and training from Jon, access to the FBM COMPLETE wellness app, and the opportunity to join our community of like-minded individuals who share your passion for fitness and self-improvement.

DROP-IN RATE

If you're not ready to commit to a monthly membership, we also offer a drop-in rate of $30/class. This allows you to attend classes on a more flexible basis and pay as you go (must be paid at least 48 hours in advance).

PAYMENT OPTIONS

We accept cash payments, as well as payments via Venmo or Zelle. We also offer the option to set up automatic monthly payments for your convenience.

FREE CALL WITH JON

Before you commit to a membership or drop-in rate, we encourage you to schedule a free call with Jon to learn more about our classes and see if they are a good fit for you. During this call, Jon will answer any questions you have and provide personalized recommendations based on your fitness goals and abilities.

We understand that joining a new fitness class can be intimidating, especially if you’re new to working out! Here are some common concerns that we hear, and questions:

  • Our classes are taught in-person at the Self-Made Fitness Training facility in Gilbert, Arizona. We have multiple class times based on your availability; we’ll discuss which class is right for you on our initial call!

  • Everyone starts somewhere. Our classes are designed for teenagers and young adults of all fitness levels. Whether you are just starting out or have been working out for years, we will provide personalized attention and training to help you reach your goals.

  • We provide all the necessary equipment for our classes, including weights, gloves, and mats. However, if you prefer to bring your own equipment, you are welcome to do so.

  • Our classes are typically one hour long, including warm-up and cool-down periods.

  • Our classes are designed for teenagers and young adults of all fitness levels, including beginners. Jon, our experienced trainer, will provide personalized attention and training to help you learn proper lifting techniques and build a strong foundation for your fitness journey.

  • Don't worry! Our community is welcoming and inclusive, and we encourage our members to support and motivate each other. You'll have the opportunity to meet new people who share your passion for fitness and self-improvement. Plus, our classes are designed to be small and personalized, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to connect with Jon and your fellow classmates.

  • We recommend wearing comfortable workout clothes and athletic shoes. Bring a water bottle, and be prepared to work up a sweat!

  • At Forged By Maahes, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable and supported. Our classes are open to boys and girls ages 12-19, and we believe that diversity is what makes our community strong.

  • Please let Jon know about any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions before starting class. He will work with you to modify exercises and ensure that you are able to participate safely and comfortably.

  • Yes, if you are under 18 years old. You and your parent will be required to sign the liability waiver before you can start your first class.
